California Coast Bible College is an educational ministry of City Church California. We exist to train believers to become all God has created them to be through biblical instruction, personal spiritual formation, mentorship, intentional community, and practical application within the local church.

Leadership

Our students understand the commission to lead and equip others to build the church and to glorify God. We seek to develop leaders who take verbal and practical initiative in all things, who grow in every way more and more like Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13 - So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Character

Our students remain open to the dealings of the Holy Spirit in all areas of their life, in the development of Christian character and true godliness. Our students allow God to shape their character and continually transform them into His image as they renew their minds with His Word.

2 Peter 1:5-8 - Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they do not make you useless nor unproductive in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Excellence

Our students apply themselves wholeheartedly to spiritual and intellectual pursuits, focusing their attention on learning in the classroom and communicating a spirit of excellence in their speech, conduct, appearance, and attitude.

2 Timothy 2:15 AMP - Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

1 Timothy 4:12, 15-16 - Let no one look down on [you because of] your youth, but be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in [moral] purity. Practice and work hard on these things; be absorbed in them [completely occupied in your ministry], so that your progress will be evident to all. Pay close attention to yourself [concentrate on your personal development] and to your teaching; persevere in these things [hold to them], for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

It is our prayer that you would know God more intimately and that you would be transformed into His image. For our students, we are not only concerned with academic performance, but also character development. Before applying, we strongly recommend that you read our Student Handbook in full.
